Nick has served as the Chairman of the Membership Committee, Southeast Region as well as a member of the National Executive Committee for Business Executives for National Security (BENS), a national non-partisan organization of prominent executives assisting our military and government agencies on national security issues such as Terrorist Funds Tracking and Cyber Security.

Matt Edwards, Partner
Areas of search experience include his execution and completion of well over 150 searches in functional areas of sales, finance, marketing, general management, along with COO, CFO, and CMO positions. Matt has considerable experience assisting companies with General Manager, Vice President and Director level positions as well. Before his career in executive search, Matt served as an analyst in a commodities trading company and also worked for Northwestern Mutual.
Matt is an avid golfer and a native of Youngstown, Ohio. He graduated with a BA in business from Catawba College in Salisbury, NC. He is married and the father of three children residing in the Atlanta area.

Tim has spent over 25 years in professional services having served as a US and Global practice leader and Senior Partner at Deloitte Consulting where he founded and led both their human resources consulting and their integrated healthcare national consulting practices. As a highly regarded healthcare strategy, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness consultant, Tim was recognized for giving confidence to, and gaining the trust of, his executive clients.
Tim left management consulting to focus his energies on developing and inspiring leaders. Alongside his executive and team building coaching, Tim is trained in administering and interpreting the Hogan suite of personality assessment tools (as well as the Clifton Strengths Finder talent assessment and Values in Action (VIA) character strengths assessment), and can provide in-depth finalist candidate assessments for our company’s search clients as well as executive coaching during transition or leadership development.
Tim’s extensive consulting experience, and his background of helping his clients succeed as leaders, provide added dimensions to his executive search capabilities in identifying and assessing the best possible executive candidates for his search clients.

Susan McLaughlin, Partner
Sue is the recipient of the Outstanding Directors Award given by The Atlanta Business Chronicle for her work as Lead Director of the Board of PrimeRevenue, Inc. She held one of two Battery Venture board seats with Prime Revenue and assisted the company in successfully completing an $80 million financing round during her time as Lead Director. Past board roles have included Target Corporation, Delphi Corporation, Ntelos Telecommunications, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Rochester, the Buffalo branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the advisory board of Purchasing Power and the boards of Spelman and Mary Baldwin Colleges. She is an active member and Treasurer of BENS (Business Executives for National Security). Throughout her career she has played an active role in mentoring, advising and supporting young women leaders.
Her business advisory clients represent a broad base of industries including transaction processing, financial services, media, equipment distribution and energy and several private equity firms.
Ms. McLaughlin began her career at Citibank. She holds a degree in Education from the University of Nebraska, Omaha, and participated in the University of Michigan’s Global Leadership program.

Bill Nutting is a Partner with Pierce Consulting Partners. He leads our company’s recruiting practice for one of the fastest growing categories of executive search, “Agile Leaders” and “Agile Teams.” These are multi-industry initiatives, supported by global consulting leader McKinsey, for organizations nationwide.
During a 25-year span, Bill has specialized in providing consulting services for B2B business development and B2B start-ups. He signed over 400 partnerships during this period. Bill has worked with such companies as Apple Computer, SONY Rewards, Discover Financial, CitiFinancial and College Parents of America.
Previously he worked with Bank One where he functioned as Executive Vice President, Partnership Marketing & Sales where he tripled Bank One’s affinity credit card assets from $2B to over $6B within four years.
He has also worked at GE Capital as Senior Vice President. In that role Bill managed a $1.3B retail private label credit card portfolio with full P&L responsibility, directing 450 employees in five operating centers and produced a record $30M in annual net income.
Earlier n his career Bill was Senior Director, Partnership Marketing & Sales for American Express where he was responsible for the largest AMEX card-accepting merchant group representing over $30B in annual charge volume.

Andy Panega, Partner
Andy Panega is a Partner with Pierce Consulting Partners and possesses 30 years of experience in human resource management, serving in both corporate and consulting roles.
Prior to joining the firm he served as Chief Human Resources Officer at The Lubrizol Corporation, a $7 billion global component of Berkshire Hathaway and one of Warren Buffett’s “Powerhouse Six.” Reporting to the company’s COB/CEO, Andy held global responsibilities with them for over seven years.
Prior to Lubrizol, Andy founded two companies, one that focused on comprehensive health and disease prevention and another that provided merger and acquisition integration strategies.
Previously Andy functioned as Chief Human Resources Officer for R.R. Donnelley & Sons for 10 years, a $12 billion global employer. There he led all Human Resources functions, including organization strategy and policy, talent acquisition and talent management, organizational design, executive compensation and labor and employee relations.
Additional experience includes serving as Director, Human Resources for Kelly Services where he led human resources for 10 business segments totaling $800 million in revenue and Director, Human Resources for Bennetton Sportssystem, Dun & Bradstreet (Nielsen Media Research), Tonka Corporation and Manager, Human Resources for General Mills.

Jim Schoedinger, Partner
Prior to FDC, Jim served as President of Transamerica Real Estate Information Services (TREIS) where he led the turnaround of one of Transamerica’s largest business units. Execution of the plan resulted in an impressive turnaround in less than 24 months and the successful sale of the business to First American Corporation.
As President of Transamerica Distribution Finance, Jim led an $800 million global revenue commercial and consumer finance business with full P&L responsibility. Under his leadership, a single product financial services business was transformed into a highly competitive, quality driven multi-product finance company with revenue and profit growing 20% annually.
Prior to Transamerica, Jim was Managing Director for GE Capital’s Global Consumer Finance business in the U.K. In this capacity he had full P&L responsibility. Revenue and pre-tax profit grew to over $300 million from $80 million respectfully.

Kevin Tarrant, Partner
Kevin served as Chief Human Resources Officer reporting to the CEO of a multi-billion dollar global leader Westinghouse AirBrake Co. (WABCO) based in Brussels, Belgium. Prior to WABCO, experiences included executive level HR & Talent Management roles for Arrow Electronic and First Data/Western Union. Earlier experiences included ten years working for Dun & Bradstreet businesses and related spun-off publicly-traded companies (IMS Health, AC Nielsen) in senior HR roles as CHRO, Total Rewards and OD. Prior to his affiliation with Dun & Bradstreet, Kevin held increasingly responsible HR positions with Monsanto and Foster Wheeler. These experiences included working closely with Board of Directors for three publicly traded companies and three international assignments.
Kevin has conducted numerous global executive and board of director search assignments covering a broad range of leaders. Having worked extensively on the corporate side of senior executive recruiting, he understands client’s expectations and the importance of both expertise and cultural fit. As Chief Talent Officer, he has assessed and hired many executives throughout his career.
Kevin has an MA in Industrial Relations from Saint Francis University and a BA in Social Work and Criminal Justice from the University of Dayton. Owen Williams, Partner
Owen began his career in 1995 with Sears and has held various leadership roles with Kohl’s, Big Lots, Macy’s and Belk. He has successfully worked in Operations, Human Resources, Store Management, Loss Prevention and other corporate support leadership roles which has given him deep knowledge of the retail space and corporate environment.
Owen is an avid outdoorsman with particular passion for fly fishing and hiking. He lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife and three children. Originally from Indiana, Owen received a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana State University in Criminology with a Minor in Business Administration. He is also active in speaking at industry conferences and enjoys research and networking to stay abreast of the latest in recruitment innovation.
